Cost for Name Change

What is the general cost for legally changing one's name in the state of Florida? The petitioner in question is of adult age. Does it matter the reason for wanting to change one's name?

There is a $300 filing fee plus the cost of an attorney, if you use one.

You can change your name for any reason except to confuse or evade creditors, the police, etc.
