Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
When a couple is getting a divorce and one party is living out of state and the other has filed for divorce here but is dragging their feet about finalizing it, what recourse does the other party have who lives out of state to get this finalized asap?

The out-of-state party can counterpetititon for divorce and, assuming the case can be settled, the out-of-state party can set the case for final uncontested hearing. If the case can't be settled, the out-of-state party can set the case for trial.
