Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
In the court order the NCP(mother) has to pay 50% of uncovered medical costs. She failed to pay, so I took her to court for contempt. The judge ordered her to pay $447.50 by June 15,2010, and reserved the right to hold her in contempt if payments were not timely made. She only paid $100.On Nov 3, I took her to court for contempt. She admitted to not paying and claimed she was overwhelmed with her own personal medical bills, and had filed for food stamps. I disputed her ability to pay.
The judge order reads:
Wherefore, the father is entitled to the judgement for $347.50, plus $50 clerk's fees, for a total judgement of $397.50, for which let execution lie. The mother is adjudged guilty of contempt for not timely payimg the amount owed.
What does "for which let execution lie"? How can I collect the money owed?
Thank you.

It will depend on what you have filed. Judicial enforcement of a money judgment usually by seizing and selling the judgment debtor's property . You will need a court order directing a sheriff or other officer to enforce the judgment and direct the sheriff to what it is you are wanting - you can have her wages garnished to pay the judgment - but you will need a Writ of Garnishment with order from the court. Same for checking and saving accounts. So it will depend on what you have or will request.
