Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I have a court order to pay my ex wife alimony (state of FL. 2001) I've been out of a job since last December but continued to make alimony payments from my savings. My savings are now gone and I'm still unemployed. My current spouse has a good job, can she be held responsible to make my alimony payments? We live in NJ.

You would need to file a Supplemental Petition for Modification of Alimony in the county where the original order was entered. I really suggest that you speak with an attorney since both you and your ex live in another state. There may be jurisdictional issues as a result of the move.
