Court records

I am in the middle of a pro se custody case. i am the mother and my daughter is an infant. Am I able to retrieve court documents from a case in Iowa where he lost his other two kids to foster care and then adoption? How do I do that?

If you cannot figure out something as basic as ghetting court records - a phone call to the clerk would have resulted in you being told the cost to mail for certified copies - you definitely should not consider a pro se case, as every other issue is far more complex than the one you asked about. Custody cases are never suitable to pro se.

Court records can usually be obtained from the office of the clerk of the court in the county where the court is. Some counties even have some records available online. Another method is to look online for a legal courier service that will have the ability to obtain court records for you. Try using Google or another search engine to locate either the clerk's office or a legal courier service. They should be able to resolve your needs.
