Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
The courts ordered my exboyfriend to pay child support and to keep the courts advised of his current address. He has done neither and keeps moving to avoid being served with court papers. Isn't this also contempt? and why isn't the courts issuing a warrant for his arrest? This is in Florida.

Intentional disregard and disobedience of a court order does invite a charge of contempt. Please realize that courts and Children & Family Services must deal with many such cases in Florida. Suggestion: inform the local Children & Family Services agency which handles the file for child support in your case of any information you have about the father's address, employment, etc. The agency must inform and request the court to take action where the parent relocates often to avoid support payments.
