I am the custodial parent. my ex lives 6 hours away from me and expects me to meet him halfway on the weekends. there are a couple of problems with this, i work most weekends. i have offered my boyfriend and mother to drop my kid off and he refuses this. wants me to do it. im basically scared of him cause there was physical abuse in the marriage and i do not trust him. we have joint custody i live in jacksonville and he is in pensacola

What do your papers state? There should be no problem with your mother taking the child to meet him. If your papers do not show who is to pick up or drop the child, and this is becoming a big problem, then file for modification of visitation and state specific reasons, show pay stubs, letter from employer as to working hours (real evidence). I suggest you do a parenting plan so that there will be no question as to who is to do what.
As previously stated, unless the Final Judgment does not allow anyone else to transport the child, you are well within your rights to have someone else do that. If he moved to Pensacola after the divorce, you could even argue that he should be reponsible for all the transportation.
