Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
I am the custodial parent and my sons father will not give me his new address which my son goes to every other weekend. Is this legal and what can I do?

1. No. You have the right to know his address.
2. Petition the court to compel him to provide info.
Obviously, he should give you the address where your son is spending time. Does the custody agreement have any language concerning the exchange of this type of information? If so, you may be able to file a Motion for Enforcement to get the father to give you the address. Of course, it should never get to that point if you are dealing with a reasonable person.
If you communicate with him in writing make the request first in writing. Ask that he provide the address as you need to know where your son is being taken for his time sharing. Ask that he provide the information within a set time.
If he refuses to respond or advises he does not have to share this information, then seek the assistance of an attorney in filing a Motion with the Court to Compel this information.
