Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

custody after death

My ex-wife has full custody of my daughter that I adopted from her marriage before ours. She is apparently terminaly ill and has informed me and others that she has drafted some papers or made arraingements of some sort that would prevent me from obtaining custody after she dies.

Questions:

Wouldn't I automatically be granted custody at that point?

Where would I research this so called paperwork if it even exists?

Re: custody after death

Since you've adopted, you will get "full custody" of your adopted daughter should your ex die. No paperwork she could create (without your permission or court order) could legally prevent it.
