Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Custody

After my divorce, I had and still have custody of our youngest of the 3 children. I recently found out I still have custody, but she has been with her father over a year. I was lead to believe the person was dying, that is why she is there. Can I get her back and fix visitation? I can't afford an attorney. Legal Aid won't help.

Re: Custody

Send a certified letter to the father, return receipt requested, asking that he abide by the terms of the court order and return the child to your custody.

You and the child's father can agree to any visitation scheme that has already not been fixed

by court order.
