Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Custody Issues

My child''s father and I gave temporary custody to my parents 17 months ago (when my son was born) for insurance reasons. My parents, my son, and I currently are living in FL.My dad is in the military and is now going to be stationed in TX, however I want to move to NC (with family) instead to further my education. My child''s father lives in GA.We (My child''s father and I) have provided 100% since hes been born. What do we need to do to regain custody over our son? What are the steps that need to be taken and where do I go to get someone to help us.We only have 2 months do get this done. What are the chances of us getting custody back?My mom tells me we probably won''t get it back.We are on a tight budget because we are both college students.I''m 20 and he''s 23.We aren''t horrible parents, we are doing the best we can considering our ages and where we are at at this moment but we put our son first and all his needs are met every day. Any adivse would be appreciated alot!

Re: Custody Issues

You gave your parents temporary custody of your new-born, 17 mos. ago. How? You went to Court and told the judge that, for insurance reasons, you wanted your parents to take care of your child. Why is this not making any sense.

If you gave your parents "temporary" custody to your child, go back to Court and tell the judge the facts you set forth in your question. He/she will understand, right?
