Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Custody Issues

I have physical custody of my daughter, my x has every other weekend visitation. He smokes pot and had supervised visits for 8 months after I filed for divorced. He does not follow the visitation schedule, stopped paying child support and does not pay 1/2 of medical bills. After 10 months of fighting through attorneys, his wages were garnished for CS, and has paid only 1/2 of what he owes me in medical bills. Visitations are unchanged. I still have not even had the opportunity to go in front of a judge to address anything. I was forced into fruitless mediation. He makes close to $100K per year but claims not to have any money. What can I expect from the court when asking for reimbursement of legal fees?

Re: Custody Issues

Your odds aren't good if the judge believes that he doesn't make any money. You need to get a lawyer who can prove that your ex earns a lot of income (I assume under the table). There are a lot of ways to do this, but it takes a good family lawyer to know them.
