Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
Custody in limbo
My friend has a daughter who is not his biologically. When she was six years old, he chose to put his name on the birth certificate, however, the relationship with the biological mother discontinued. The mother threatens him with a DNA test when she is angry because she wants to remove him from the birth certificate. Does he have any parental rights, knowing he isn't the father? Is he eligible for custody?
