custody

I am the lititioner and I wanted to know that when you file a motion of referral to general magistrate and get a hearing set what if the respondant refuses to participate the GM so what would be the next step.. respondant has not wanted to participate in the mediation.

Mediation is usually mandatory in family court. Respondent could be in contempt if not cooperating. In order to "refuse" a GM, you also have to file an objection in a timely manner. If you are pro se in the Miami area and need assistance, please call our offices.
