Custody of Niece
I am a United States permanent resident (german citizen), married to a US Citizen.My niece (9 yrs old, german father, dominican mother- not married) lives in the Dominican Republic, with my mother. As for very difficult circumstances there I would like to bring my niece to live here in FL with us, and have the right of legal guardian or legal custody. Her parents are in agreement with it and would do anything legally necesarry in order to make that happen. Is there a possibility for me to bring her to the states legally? What would be the first step? I am financially very stable, secure with the best conditions for a child.
