Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Custody

I share custody of my daughter with my ex-husband. My current husband got a huge job offer in another state what do i need to do to take my child to another state? Currently my ex husband has only paid me one months support for the whole year.

Re: Custody

Florida law requires that you send your ex a special form that describes details of your desired move and how it will impact your daughter and your ex. Your ex then has 30 days to object. If he does not object, you can move. If your ex sends you a notice within 30 days that he is objecting, you'll have to file a lawsuit seeking permission from a judge for the move.

Permission is rarely granted, but the fact that your ex is late on his child support is one of the factors the judge may weigh in your favor.
