custody of my little sister.
i would like to gain custody of my 14 year old sister. my mother and her husband have pulled her out of school and will not allow her to go back. she is living in an unstable enviroment and i need to help her. i along with other members of my family ahve suspected abuse, i can not however prove it. what legal actions can i take and what are my chances? i am only 17 but my granmother is willing to help us out.

You are a minor and cannot petition for custody. Your grandmother can petition and has a chance to get it given what you state here. However, she would then have the responsibility to raise your sister.
