Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Custody

I have sole custody of our 14 yr. old. The father doesnt pay child support & has limited visitation. She doesnt want to go with her father on a visit. Does she have to go?

Re: Custody

Visitation and child support are two separate things. So the fact that she doesn't visit him does not mean he has no child support obligation.

I think a 14 yr. old should visit her father and maybe a counselor can deleve into the reason behind it and I hope it isn't because he doesn't pay child support.

The adults ought to be able to resolve this so that the child can grow knowing both parents, based on the limited information provided.
