Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Can I get custody of my step child after the father and I have separated? The father has legal custody of his daughter, but she lives with the father's mother. I have known her since she was 2 years old and have provided for her since then. Her father sells drugs, does drugs, brings all types of women all times of night, has sex with different women while the child is awake, uses his child to get closer to women. His mother uses her to get money from people to pay for her bills and get other items. The daughter's biological mother does drugs herself has had another child taken away from her by the state and does not provide for her daughter at all. There has been times when the father and I had to pick the daughter up from his mother's house because either the electricity was off or the water was off. The father calls the daughter a "nigger" a "zebra" "gay" because she is of multiracial background. The father and the aunt (his sister) have verbally and physically attacked eachother in her presence and verbally abuse her. They also use the daughter to get by in her school by getting well acquainted with the teacher and making sure that the teacher favorites her more so than other children in class. I can provide the daughter with a great environment and loving family atmosphere. Is it possible that I could get custody of here?

If you are aware of all of this and you have not contacted DCF - then you are just as much the problem. This child needs protection. Call them and have an investigation done. Whether they allow you to keep the child or not, she would be better off somewhere else.
