Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

When my Daughter was born (in state of Florida) her mother was married yet did not live with her husband. I am the biological father, yet have no legal right to my daughter under florida law. I have given support anyway over the years, and present. Now the courts are sueing me for child support and legal fees because my daughters mother is in a drug program. I live in a different county and never had any legal right to her. What are my rights and what should I do to get right to my daughter. I can not afford an attorney, and do not want one. I did nothing wrong.

It depends - did the legal father have his rights terminated. Was your name added to the birth certificate. You could be responsible.
