Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

my daughter and her boyfriend of 10 yrs with 5 kids separated. We were paying for power and water utilities. My daughter has moved out and the kids go see him at times at his house. Neither work and we/grandparents have been paying the bills. The power is in my daughters name. Are we able to stop paying for his power with out any child issues brought against us. We cant afford her new home and his.

Yes, you are able to stop paying for his power without any legal claims being brought against you. I would also advise your daughter to get the lights out of her name at his home as his non-payment delinquency at that address can cause her lights to be cut off as well at her new address. And she doesn't need that as I assume the kids primarily live with her and they need light to do homework, eat, etc. Hopefully, he will find a way to get the electricity cut back on in his own name so that his children will have light when they come to visit him.
