My daughter hasn't seen her father in person since she was 6months old he now wants to be back in her life which is good i guess...he's planning a trip in june am i obligated to take time off work to travel from florida to nj and pay half of the expenses??

The parties should have a written agreement to cover custody, visitation, support etc.

Need more info in order to properly answer you. Are you married to Bio dad? Is he on birth certificate? Is he paying Court Ordered child support? If you are not married to bio dad even if his name appears on the birth certificate, unless he has visitation order from the court, you don't have to do anything. You could file for child support through the Dept. of Revenue and still unless he files for visitation, he only pays for the child support - he gets nothing else.
As to him seeing your daughter, get an order in hand. After 6 months why now is what I would be asking.
