My daughter is 14 years old and came to live with me 7 months ago. How long until I have legal custody of her?

You need to get a court order to have legal custody. I suggest you apply to the court for that. You need to file a Petition for custody, set a hearing date and serve the parent.

Until you have a court order, you do not have legal custody.
