Daycare expenses after divorce

A year after the divorce, I retired from my place of employment. My child is 3 and in daycare, for educational reasons and to interact with other children. If I am not working does my ex-husband still have to pay for half of the daycare expenses?It does not stipulate in the mediation agreement that I must be employed to have the child in daycare.
