Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

DCF against reunification

Our 5 year old son died in a car accident. DCF removed our other 2 children based on prior alcohol use and justified prescription use. Our case plan has completed since it was given to us in May. Now there is a permanency hearing Fri. October 12th and DCF is pushing against reunification while there is no cause. What can we do to speed up reunification? Our kids have been placed over 70 miles away and they need to come home NOW.

If you have completed all your Case Plan tasks in a meaningful way and it is safe to bring the children home, then DCF will not prevail. However, you must show you have benefitted from the things you learned not just did them and the reason for the removal is no longer a consideration
