Debt Responsibility for Spouse

If husband who has no medical insurance incurs a big debt for hospital, doctors, etc and doesn't pay, can providers hold the wife responsible?

If you did not sign any guarantee at the time of admission to the hospital, a wife cannot be held responsible for the medical debt of her husband.

Depends on what was signed at the time the husband entered the hospital. I believe some hospitals have something similar to a co-sign situation. At least I have heard it in my jurisdiction.
