Deceased father

Father is deceased( murdered) and still has some debt who is considered ''next of kin'' and responsible if no will has been left. He property is locked in an apartment which has refused to let son's in because sister was listed as an emergency contact

His "estate" is responsible for his debt. You need to speak with a probate lawyer. Since he died without a will, the court will have to appoint a personal representative (an executor) to handle his affairs, such as getting into the locked apartment.
