Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Denied christmas visitation this year.

Dear Guru,

My husband and I just yesterday, Dec 22, 2006. Drove 4 hours to Central Florida, to pick up my step-daughter for our first christmas break vacation. When we arrived to her school, the school was closed, even though the school calender stated that 12/22 was to be her last day. So we went to her mother's work, and learned she was not working and on maternity leave. We have no valid address for the mother, since she has moved 3 times since April 2006 and not once has sent her new address certified mail to us. We attempted to talk to our attorney however with the holidays their office was closed. We are back in Southwest Florida now. Help what are our chances of reversing custody. This is just the latest incident, they're are many others since we settled this in Nov of 2005. Thank you in advance.

Re: Denied christmas visitation this year.

It sounds as though you cannot locate the child. If that is the case, you should call the police immediately. You should also document this and every instance of such conduct to start building your case for a petition to change custody.
