why is my divorce case being referred to a general magistrate?

There is so much family law that the courts appoint hearing officers to handle the load (magistrates). They have full authority to hear cases and make decisions, like a judge. Contact my office for free consultation.

YOu may object to the hearing officer hearing your case and then you can have the judge hear it. YOu must file an objection within 10 days to all parties involved.
