Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
Divorce childcare
I will be going through a separation with my wife that will probably lead to a divorce. We also have two children. I have not hired an attorney yet. My wife is saying really bad things that are not true about me and my parenting skills to some mutual friends. Some of the things I have records of like texts and voicemails that she has said to some friends. I have not said anything bad about her at all. Can this or does this help or hurt my case with how much I might be paying in alimony/child support and visitation? She also sends ''suggestive'' texts to a mutual friend of mine which leads me to believe she has interests in him even though we are still married.

Re: Divorce childcare
No, the really bad things are more likely to affect custody. Child support is really cut and dry. The parties income is put in to a formula, and that's how it's decided. The parties can ask to deviate from the guidelines, but only because of hardship, or because the children required more than the guidelines.
