Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

divorce

I went to court today for my divorce hearing. I was unhappy with the way in which my lawyer handled my case and I ended up with nothing after 7 years of marriage. She stated that I have the right to appeal the decision. If I was to do that could I hire a different attorney for it. We had a prenuptial which the judge used for his decision but part of the prenuptial was not brought forth by my attorney. The part that stated that any property titled in both parties names becomes marital property. I don't know what to do. Financially I am now in debt because of having to purchase a vehicle for myself and due to not being unable to work previously when I started the proceedings had to use credit cards to purchase the lawyer and items needed for living. What can I do to try and get this matter resulved or reviewed by a different lawyer.

Re: divorce

Yes. You can change lawyers and you can appeal or ask for a re-hearing. An appeal is more expensive. Please contact my office for a free consultation.
