NOTE: This communication is not intended as and should not be interpreted as legal advice. Rather, it is intended solely as a general discussion of legal principles. You should not rely on or take action based on this communication without first presenting ALL relevant details to a competent attorney in your jurisdiction and then receiving the attorney's individualized advice for you. By reading the "Response" to your question or comment, you agree that the opinion expressed is not intended to, nor does it, create any attorney-client relationship, nor does it constitute legal advice to any person reviewing such information, nor will it be considered an attorney-client privileged communication. If you do not agree, then stop right here, and do not read any further.

While I agree with the other attorneys, there may be a simpler method. Today, many Florida counties have their public records online. You may be able to access the Final Judgment online in the public records.

To do so, locate the public records of the county in which your divorced was filed. Then conduct a search which can often be done alphabetically. You can print out a copy right from your computer. Some counties will also allow you to order a certified copy for a nominal charge.

An alternative would be to contact the attorney who represented you in the divorce. He or she may have a copy in your file.

Re: divorce decree

For a nominal fee, you can get a conform copy from the court where your decree was signed.

Re: divorce decree

Start with the County Clerk where you were living at the time of the divorce.
