Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My divorce decree states "the wife shall be responsible for half the remaining obligation to XXX bank, account no. XXXX.. The husband is responsible for with XXX bank to ensure the wife has access to the records of thte load to determine if payments are made and the balance on the account."

I have made my payments as scheduled, the ex-husband has now payed the loan off before it was mature. He is telling me I have to pay him. He did not get my approval to pay the note off or obtain a new note to forfill the obligation. My name was never on the original loan so he did not have to obtain my approval.

Has my obligation been met? Or do I have to pay on this new note he now has?

Did the account number change? According to the wording you are only responsible for the remaining obligation to X bank account no X. I would guess that you are to pay him the half according to the papers that WAS owed at that time.
