Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Divorce Depositions Not Included in Divorce Case

My divorce was final in 1994. My Attorney had a deposition taken under-oath from both myself and spouse prior to any hearings from the presiding judge. The deposition was to show inapropriate actions of my spouse. I have wondered for the past 3.5 years why the divorce was so unfair toward myself. Recently I contacted the courthouse in Florida, and discovered that there is no record of a deposition. I can't get a copy of said deposition, because it is not enclosed with the case files and no record of a deposition. Question: My attorney fees included fees for a deposition, the deposition was vital information. Is or is not, a deposition part of the divorce case files/records and to be included/kept with the divorce case ?

Deposition in Divorce Case

Contact your divorce attorney. Your attorney should have a copy of the deposition (perhaps even the original) and you should be able to obtain a copy from your attorney.
