Trying to divorce my drug addicted wife, how can I protect myself?
I am trying to divorce my wife of 5 years who I found out 2 years ago has a drug addiction to crack/cocain and have been doing it for 20 years, she was very good at lying and hiding things so it was a surprise to me, she had two children from previous relations who were living with us too. The past two years I tried to help her by offering to send her to rehab for the drug problem and she refused. It has been an emotional strain on me, so I filed for a divorce, she and the kids have moved into her mothers home. On Thanksgiving day, 2004...I wanted to wish her and her kids a happy thanksgiving, and I went over to her mothers house just to be told she was somewhere else and had not been with the kids for days. I found out where she was, went there and caught her in bed with another man, both naked and smoking crack. Just recently I have been informed by my lawyer that my wife's mother had gotten her an attorney, and both mother and daughter have decided that she should have everything. What are rights in this matter? How can I protect everything I've worked so hard for? I am desperate and my lawyer doesn't seem to care.

Since you have an attorney it would not be appropriate to comment. I suggest you make an appointment to speak with you attorney.
