i am getting a divorce due to domestic violence. i have a son who has a life long diease. what tips can you give me on going to court. what to expect, what to do, or not do. his dad has his own buisness and is trying to hide what he is making how can i get the maximum amount of child support. i know florida is a 50/50 state, but how can i be awarded the house as a settlement.

A contested divorce is a very involved process, especially if there are children. There are many documents to prepare, calculations to do, information to gather, arguments to put together. These things are technical and the entire process cannot be taught in an email. I strongly recommend getting representation. If you have to do this yourself, the general advice I would give you is document everything including expenses, visitation times, inappropriate actions on the part of the other parent, etc. Do not put the children in the middle. And, be nice! Be courteous and cooperative.
