i filed for divorce, my husband was served with summon and filed the motion of apearance and is asking for the extension of time.
i am not asking for any division of assets, only shared custody of the children and a dissolution of marriage.
what exactly is a motion of appearance and extension of time?

His notice of appearance is one, his acknowledgement that he has bee served and will participate in the case; and secondly, his request for an extension of time means that he wants more than 21 days to answer your petition and prepare his answer to it.
