Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I am going through a divorce in Florida and have a two year old child. I am the father and take care of the baby 6 days a week and pay all expenses for her including day care. My wife wants 50/50 custody even though she does not watch her nor help pay for the baby. I just want to get the papers signed. If I agree to 50/50 custody, will I have to pay child support?

someone will always pay chld support even if it is only $1.00. However, I suggest you do a better deal that 50/50. If she is not supporting the child and you are the sole support, then allow her visitation.

It's not true that someone will always pay child support. Check out whether either of you will owe child support by completing a Florida Child Support Guidelines worksheet at www.flcourts.org. It does the math calculations for you online. Or check the app store under "Florida Child Support Guidelines" and two really good child support calculators for iPhone/iPad will come up for about $5.
