Once divorce is granted and a contempt of court order is filed by the former spouse regarding possessions taken not clearly noted in divorce paper (gray area) how menacing can this be in court?

These is no contempt if it's not noted in the divorce papers. If it's a gray area, then it's up to the judge to decide just how "gray" it is. If the judge doesn't see it as "gray" (and they usually don't), the violator could be held in contempt.
