Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My divorce was handled in Florida I have joint custody of our son. He resides with his mother who is now remarried. The Step-parent wants to adopt my son. They have lived in Tennesssee now for 7 months. Can the adoption still be handled through the state of Florida? I am willing to consent to the adoption.
