Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Divorce

My husband filed a petition for dissolution of marriage (no children, no property). I hired an attorney who filed an ''answer to the petition'' and an ''Notice to Produce Documents'' without my consent. Obviously I withdrew her from my case. My question is: How do I withdraw the answer to the petition and the notice to produce documents that my attorney sent to the broward county court house? What forms do I use? Can I use the ''Notice of Voluntary Dismissal form'' for the answer to the petition? How do I withdraw the ''notice to produce documents''? Our divorce was supposed to be a simple one without either one of us asking for anything. Thank you.

Re: Divorce

I'ts hard to figure out how to help you, because I can't tell why you hired an attorney in the first place. He did exactly what should have been done, and you fired him. You certainly don't want to withdraw the answer. If you and your husband agree upon everything, write the agreement up, and set a final hearing. Go to the final hearing. Maybe it'll work out for you. Your lawyer was attempting to protect your rights. If you aren't concerned about your rights, then it doesn't make much difference what you do. After it's over, apologize to the attorney you fired.
