divorce

if i leave my house that i own with my husband do i lose all my rights for half the house?and do i have to pay half the mortgage. if i want to sell my half to him do i have to wait until he decides what he wants to do.desperate for help.i have not enough money for a lawyer what do i do?i need to get out im beng mentally abused

My recommendation is to go get the divorce. The house, being a marital asset will be disposed of during the course of the divorce.

You do not mention any children so you may go to the clerk's office or the local law library and do a simplified dissolution petition.

I would still pick up the phone an speak to a family law attorney on a free consult first.
