Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
Divorce
I live in Florida which is no-fault divorce state. We have been married for 11 years and have one young child. My husband has filed for divorce.
What is the appropriate legal action for the wife to take to protect her and her child's legal and financial status?
Since I have not had full-time employment for a number of years, I am especially concerned about: medical insurance, rehabilitative support, family support at a level which will enable me to maintain the standard of living established during an 11-year marrage.
I believe my earning capability has been severly impaired due to long periods of unemployment during the marrage when I was devoted to domestic duties.

Re: Divorce
Based on the facts given, you may be entitled to alimony. I would need more information to make the determination as to which type of alimony, amount and time frame of alimony. But a type of alimony nonetheless. If I can of further assistance please feel free to contact me at my office (954) 437-5968. Sincerely, Melody Stickel-Martinez, Esq.
