Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
Divorce
Married for two years. Mother in law bought me a car (daughter in law) which we agreed to pay her back. The car is registered in my husbands name. We are now seperated and I have the car. Can he report it stolen if I don't return it to him before the divorce is final?

Re: Divorce
He can do what he wants, but I doubt the police will act on it when they hear it is a domestic issue.

Re: Divorce
I suppose he can always report it stolen because it is registered in his name, and the car note is likely in Mother in law's name. Law enforcement, since this is part of the divorce action, may elected to not become involved in this matter, letting the Family Court decide the issue.
