Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

HELP I been trying to get a divorce for over 15 months please advise.
HELP!! I hired an attorey who does not seem to listen nor care other than writing me gigantic bills. I am trying desperately to get a divorce from a very sick human being. Yes there are marital assets involved but they are frozen thanks to him creating ficticious emails and submitting them to the courts as if they were evidence while my attorney was out of town (to date have not been able to clear that mess). All I care about right now is a divorce. I filed back in May of 2005 and am no closer to a divorce than I was then. My husband has threatened to drag this out as long as he can. Currenlty he has a restraining order against him after he threatened my life, had people commit crimes against me and continues to harass me by i.e. making false claims to the state (stated that I was not legally entitiled to my homestead exemption because I was living with him). You get the idea....Can I get a ''unilateral divorce and if so how do I do this and what will be the consequences if any with my current attorney?'' As far as I am concerned the jerk can file a lawsuit for the assets later. I just need the divorce now, especially since he stated I was worth to him more dead than alive. I would not want him to inherit anything of mine.

Since you have a lawyer you should speak with him. If he cannot help, you certainly have the right to seek other counsel
