Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Divorce

Do I have to pay my wife alimony? We were married for 4 years. I make 21,000 a year. My wife has never kept a job. She is already living with another man.

Re: Divorce

It depends. With such a short marriage, you probably would owe alimony unless she had some kind of disability that was not present or diagnosed prior to the marriage. It is even less likely if she is able to work, especially since you low salary does not give you much ability to pay. So, the final answer is "probably not" (but all the facts would have to be examined).
