divorce settlment

In my divorce paper, it states that BY 2011, when my youngest son turns 18yr. my ex-wife has to pay me $20,000. Knowing that she has just refinanced the house and received $150,000, can I request the money now? She will not have the $20,000 when the time comes. Do I need to hire an attorney for this matter?
