Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
Divorce
In 1986, my wife and I were granted a formal divorce; however, neather of us has been able to find any records of the divorce. Also, while in the state of Texas, we claimed to be married whenever the question arose (4/95 - 6/96).
My question is are we legally still married?

Where was the divorce finalized? You should check with the clerk of court wherever that was.
As for Texas, not sure about Texas law related to common law marriages. You should consult an attorney in Texas for that. Florida does not recognize Common Law Marriage though.
