Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
If I divorce my wife, what am I obligated to provide towards her living expenses after the divorce? We are both over 75 years of age, and we own a house and two small annuities (about $32000 combined). Our only other source of income is Social Security). Can I be prosecuted under abandonment laws if I insist that everything be divided equally, and she claims that she needs the house to live in???

You aren't obligated to pay your wife anything unless the judge says otherwise which, in your case, sounds very doubtful. I'm sure you both need the house to live in, but it will probably get sold and divided in the divorce. You'll both just have to find another place to live.
There are no "abandonment laws" under which you could be prosecuted.
