40 years ago I got married for the second time but did not have a divorce I have now filed for a divorce from my first wife and will be grabted in a few weeks. Do I have to get married again to wife # 2 or are we married?
I have not seen or heard from wife # 1 in over 39 years

Your second marriage was invalid. You must get married to #2 again if you wish to be married to her. All these years, you've always been married to your first wife, and you've never been married to #2.
